OUR FIRM
At Whatley Law, we pride ourselves on providing excellent legal advice and representation to help our clients resolve their family law issues promptly. Founded by Anne M. Whatley in 1998, our old brick and mortar office was conveniently located just two blocks from the Contra Costa County Superior Court in downtown Martinez. Since COVID, we have moved out of this office and are now serving our clients remotely. Our firm specializes in divorce, legal separation, paternity, child custody, child and/or spousal support, support modifications, premarital agreements, annulments, domestic partnerships, domestic violence issues and Qualified Domestic Relation Orders (QDRO's).
We practice exclusively in family law matters in Contra Costa County, California and we have built a solid reputation of providing excellent service to our clients over the years.
We serve clients from all over Contra Costa County, whether the clients are from East, West, Central County, or down the 680 corridor. We have clients from Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, Rossmoor, Alamo, Danville, San Ramon, Martinez, Concord, Clayton, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Pittsburg, Antioch, Brentwood, El Cerrito, Richmond, San Pablo, Pinole, Hercules, and more.
While many of our clients prefer to meet with their attorney in person, we also have clients who are either out of the area, or have hectic work schedules and other reasons that make it difficult to come to Martinez for meetings with us. In these cases, we are happy to work with these clients via telephone, online conferences and/or email to make the process as easy as possible.
At Whatley Law, we make sure you understand all of your options so that you can make the best decision for you and your family. And, we work hard to protect our clients' legal rights. We keep the best interest of the our clients, and those of their children, firmly in mind when coming up with a strategy and solution for their issues.
We also recognize and respect that litigation can be an expensive process. Our support staff will help you keep your case on track, and minimize the overall cost of your legal case.
Finally, we believe in treating each case with dignity and class. While everyone that comes through our door does so under different circumstances, we strive to remain open-minded and non-judgmental. We believe in fostering trust with our clients, so that our clients know that we are here to serve and support them through this difficult time. We also pride ourselves in honest and open communication with our clients. While sometimes this means that we have the difficult job of telling our client something they may not want to hear, we always do so with our clients' best interest as our primary concern.
If you are considering separation and/or divorce, or have an issue with paternity, domestic violence, child custody or child/spousal support, please contact us today for a free initial consultation and see how Whatley Law can assist you in resolving the matter.
